Acoustic Guitars & Vocals
Monday, July 23rd, 2007The first five tracks because new release are really coming along. We recorded Mo’s acoustic guitar track using different guitars such as, a primordial 1970’s black SJ-200, mid 1990’s mahogany D-09 with old-fogyish centre detailing, 1940’s rosewood 000-17 “student guitar” (no longer elbow). We in use accustomed to our C42MP (matched pair) insignificant diaphragm condenser blending a stereo reliable from both the neck and the body of the guitar.
Boots Kutz vocals consisted of both the M16 which has the characteristics of both the AKG C12 and Neumann U67 microphones. In parallel with the M16 was at one of our flagship microphones an U47. Both mic’s on the cardioid gauge and adding a bound of vocal color we ran the U47 washing one's hands of the Manley SLAM and the M16 in all respects the custom NEVE lunchbox.

Thursday, July 19th, 2007Adult Contemporary Recording
Thursday, July 19th, 2007A friend of mine Brad Mcrae from an outstanding earth music band called called me and said, I get a period coming in and she has talent. The session is only one performance and we determination be using cajon, udu, windchimes, rainstick, shakers & finger cymbals to lay-down the measure stage. So we used a Audix D-6 on the Cajon and a matched pair of small condensers essentially the calm of the instruments in an X-Y Pattern.
On Acoustic Guitar we used a Cole 4040 thick as thieves mic’ed on the 12th-ish fret. in return her vocals we set Shakeh up in the live and used the AGK C12VR. It was a bellow recording this sitting and mixing commitment start in August. Shakeh is a horrendous inexpensively-writer and at one's desire be performing along the west sea-coast soon.
West Valley Highway Session
Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 is in this day in the onset stages of recording their bolster-up release to Marysville. This last week we tracked drums & bass for the premier five tracks. If you enjoyed the first album this 2nd album choose be beyond your expectations. As Mo Olson said to Jason, Scott & I “Boys, this is a real moment for you”. Which is true because they drank less and played more..
One of the things we did different out the gate was exigency execrate 14 microphones on a 3 piece drum instruments! Why, to blend both ribbon & stocky diaphragm mic’s together and to be more tentative with an Americana pizazz of music. There will be more updates on this project , here are some photos of the assembly.
